One of the main reasons John J. Nance seems so comfortable on the air in any broadcast situation is due to the fact that he's been a professional broadcaster since the early 1960's! It is with a great mix of professionalism, aplomb and candor that John skillfully covers aviation incidents and other news subjects.
As an author, John has appeared on Larry King Live, PBS Hour with Jim Lehrer, Oprah, NPR, Nova, The Today Show, and many other television and radio shows. In addition, John's editorials have been published in newspapers nationwide, including The Los Angeles Times and USA Today.

Before joining ABC as a broadcast journalist, Nance had delivered more than 3,000 newscasts on radio and television, including three years with ABC affiliate WFAA in Dallas. He has appeared on more than 1,300 radio and television shows including The MacNeil-Lehrer report, CBS Evening News, Nova, Oprah, Larry King Live, and many others.
In addition to his many duties as an Aviation Analyst for ABC News, John also makes many appearances on the top rated morning broadcast, Good Morning America.
